When he did his Masters in Multidisciplinary Design Innovation from Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK, he had 12 years of experience developing products, of which 8 years were in developing electric motorcycles and their related technology. After he came to his own place to fill what he desired, in 2011, he started a company called Emotion Motors, which is a pioneer in high-performance in India’s first geared electric vehicle.

In 2019, they changed into Emote Electric. They strive to design not just for reliability but also for desirability. Now in 2024, they are going to launch two variants of bikes: one is the SURGE 6K variant, and another is the SURGE 10K variant. The SURGE 6K variant will go up to 600km with one charge, but its price is 1.5 lakhs with one battery that will go up to 200km. If you want insect extra batteries, it will add more cost.

When every business-minded person is running behind the petorol, But Kishan Karunakaran and his friends Sumanth Selvarasu, Venkateswaran Selvan, and Prassad Nair took inspiration from when, a decade ago, APJ Apdul Kalam said that after 10 years, the vehicles would all run on biofuel, but it didn’t happen, but it was a small change to cause a big phenomenon. 

But what they did was, yes, when on one side, the MNC is selling pertol for crores and making more cause for the environment, even though biofuel they will get at a low price, they don’t prefer biofuel. Because of quantity and quality, neither is the case. Due to a lack of systems and transportation, they don’t prefer biofuel, but now they manage to supply the quality and quantity for more than 30+ consumers with a revenue of 7 crores in a month.

Then, in 2014, they decided to make their own organic product. So they started a juicy chemistry factory in Coimbatore to make organic air and skin products.

They are profitable until 2021, after they raised $6 million. After they spend on branding and creating awareness for their products, they say we will make more profit before Q3 2024. In 2023, they opened their first flagship store, and now they have eight stores and are available in 100 other stores. They claim that 30% of revenue comes from offline stores, and they make the statement that their audience spends 3x more time in offline stores than in online stores.

Now they want to expand their presence in 15 flagship stores and make them available in another 500 stores in the next 15 months that they currently have achieved 45 crores of ARR, and they want to achieve 100 crores of ARR.

When 87 metric tonnes of eco-waste are burned and cause damage to the environment, Muruganandam found natural burning waste to green char coal. He has a business worth $28 million as of now.

And not only that, they won a national startup award in 2024 in the sustainable channel category, and they are already partnering with 1000 farmers to procure the material to change the green coal.

Benjamin was working for the Honey Well Company in the US, but when he returned to India, he saw his friend who was farming the land with 1000 litres, but only 100 litres were properly used on the farms. So he tried to make an IOT device for precision farming.

He uses this technology to target particular objects (plants) to make it more accurate to use water and save water in farming. And in 2012, he farmed some acres of watermelon and produced five times as much as the average farmer. And with word of mouth, everyone noticed, and now he had 3500 farmers producing that yield with his help from the IOT device.

After she got so many orders, she decided to make her own factory for designing, and she owns a website for Put Chi. After making 5 crores every year until August 2023, they have their own brand. But now they have some kids clothing brands led by moms clothing.

It’s a Thanjavor brand led by Vignesh Vadivel, Amirtha Ganesh, and Satheesh. They are making a safe locker in Thanjavur with no imported material. Everything is around Thanjavor. 

Now that they sold their first tyre of lockers, they made 5 lakhs in a week, and the team is so confident that they say they will make 10x in the financial year 2025. But all apart, the beauty of the business is that they are making their own product rather than procuring the materials at a low cost with high quality. As of now, they are exporting the product to the UAE and Singapore.

At Madurai in 2011 Ashok Kannan started this Happy hen form with 1000 hens, but 800 died. Then he met Manjuna Marappan, and they figured out the cause of the problem because the hens died. 

They figured that organic farming would not keep hens in cages and keep cleaning their shit and kepping them in the same place. It’s about traditional farming, where hens were free-farmed by a vast area of land and kept freely. 

Now they are making a revenue of 3.05 crore in 2023, and they own six free farms. They produce 20 thousand eggs per day with 20 thousand hens.

In 2021, Trichy-based Esandai was made by Sridharan, Niranchan Kumar, and Chollin Selvam. They are linking the former, which they are making on the farms as a fresh product, to the customers, like hotels and restaurants. 

They are mostly focusing on the Tier 2 and Tyre 3 markets by anticipating demand and producing the product based on that demand. So as a result, they reduced 30% to 3% of the average waste of production by the farmers. They expect to generate 1.6 crores of revenue in FY 2023, 10 crores in FY 2024, and a tenfold increase in 2025.
